Top 10

OK, I’ll get back to the serious stuff later.  The following is, to the best of my recollection, my top 10 albums/CD’s from my high school years:

10.  Screaming for Vengeance– Judas Priest

9.  Reign in Blood– Slayer

8.  Marching Out– Yngwie Malmsteen

7.  Kill ’em All– Metallica

6.  Ride the Lightning–Metallica

5. Number of the Beast– Iron Maiden

4. The River– Bruce Springsteen

3. Born in the USA– Bruce Springsteen

2. Piece of Mind–Iron Maiden

1. Pyromania–Def Leppard

I think.  Although Maiden and Def Leppard were pretty close to even.  And I also probably missed a few…it’s been a while.  Bet most of you never even heard of some of those….

God has changed my life, and changed me. It's that simple. I will ever be grateful, and if I live to be...well, OLD, I will never tire of telling people about the work done in my life, and what can be done in theirs, should they trust God with their innermost everything...

  1. I just remember Bel Biv Devoe. And Boys II Men…Duran Duran? Um…Red Hot Chili Peppers? Oh, man…
    Wait! Greenday! And Alanis Morrissette!
I think it depended on the type of music you happened to listen to. Your list is naturally skewed to heavy metal.

  2. Okay, I’ll give it a shot…though I wasn’t all that into music in high school (it has always been about tv for me!). Try not to be too impressed by my sophisticated musical tastes:

    1. Def Leppard – Hysteria
    2. Graceland – Paul Simon
    3. Faith – George Michael
    4. Different Light – Bangles
    5. Bad Animals – Heart
    6. The Innocents – Erasure
    7. Fore – Huey Lewis and the News
    8. Rubber Soul – Beatles *
    9. Music From the Edge of Heaven – Wham
    10. Dirty Dancing Soundtrack

*(my mom got me into the Beatles in high school – I realize they had already broken up way before then…)

  3. Oh, man. I forgot about Huey Lewis and Heart. I could probably make about a dozen lists. There are so many possible categories….
